On the forecast track the center of the tropical cyclone will cross Cuba tonight and be near southeastern Florida by Wednesday afternoon. Some strengthening is forecast during the next day or so and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm later on Tuesday.

Surf conditions are expected to deteriorate through the early part of next week as the larger swells from Hurricane Igor affect the area beaches. NOAA buoys off the Carolina coast have already detected swells from the hurricane, and the swells are expected to increase in size and power through the weekend.

Heavy rain associated with ther remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine has been impressive early this morning over Texas, especially within a narrow band that developed along and west of I-35 where 6 to 10 inches has fallen west of Austin. The deep tropical moisture associated with Hermine will continue to support heavy flooding rains northward into Oklahoma today and into southeast Kansas and Missouri by Friday morning. All of these regions are currently under flood or flash flood watches.
