An arctic air mass plunging south through the region coupled with brisk northwest winds will result in wind chill values of -30 to -40 degrees. A few locations in North Dakota could experience wind chills near -50 degrees. If not properly protected, you are likely to experience frostbite and hypothermia when exposed to these conditions.
