Ceres is experienced in managing all aspects of hazardous materials assessment, testing, and abatement.
With a database of over 2,000 professional and contracting partners, we have managed everything from small “glove-bag” removal of pipe insulation to the demolition of 80+ US military facilities with extensive hazardous materials.
Ceres provides “turnkey” services including assessment, testing, planning and abatement of hazardous materials including:

Establishing a Plan
Once an approach is defined, Ceres personnel work closely with the client to detail a plan that minimizes downtime and any potential exposure to non-abatement personnel. The company coordinates competitive pricing tenders from qualified contractors, performs any necessary demolition to expose the material and monitors every aspect of the abatement or remediation process, including the waste stream. Separate monitoring firms are employed to ensure that optimal safety levels are maintained at all times. The entire process is documented in project manuals electronically for record by both Ceres and the client’s facilities personnel.
Case Study: Hurricane Katrina
As part of Ceres’ USACE contract for Hurricane Katrina recovery in Louisiana, Ceres crews performed private property demolition in Jefferson Parish. This work required handling of multiple types of hazardous materials including asbestos-containing materials, white goods, household hazardous waste, e-waste, dead animals and putrefied matter inside appliances. Ceres hired specially-trained crews to handle these items and followed all state and federal environmental regulations for disposal.
